I created the I created this quick section to walk you through the simple core strategies that I use to coach my fat loss clients and fitness competitors into lifelong results they are proud of.

and BEGIN using right now.


A lot of these TOOLS you are already familiar with like:


  • A calorie deficit

  • Weight training

  • Cardio sessions

  • Progress checks

  • Plan adjustments


And you’re well aware of the integral roles THEY play in providing the desired FEEDBACK (results) you’re CRAVING.


But first I want to share some mental frameworks that are more or less common knowledge in the fitness industry that you may NOT be aware of.


They’re Mental Frameworks that offer a more OBJECTIVE view on the Fat Loss Process as a whole. And they have helped all my coaching clients whether they compete or not build an UNSHAKABLE mental GAME.


I UNDERSTAND your goal may not be to hit the stage.


My intention is take what you want from the 4 frameworks below while keeping an open mind and consider how employing some of them will help you


..ACCELERATE your Progress:

1. Perfection is an ILLUSION


The Fitness industry is the master magician and It’s bikini competitors are the Master’s Assistant. They all have you believing what you see through their selfie trickeries.


Roll by one of these girls while training and she looks nothing like her most recent Instagram post. Hair in a ponytail, not much makeup, old tee shirt with some cute leggings. Just minding her business focused on her workout. She probably has kids getting off the bus soon at home and will need a snack, she may have forgotten to swap the clothes to the dryer before she left, or just realized she didn’t thaw the meat she needed for dinner and now has to call something in to pick up on the way home.


She’s the girl next door. A normal mom.


Uh Yeah, until she’s not...


It’s post workout and with just enough time to do one more thing, she heads into an empty group fitness room.


Like a wave of the Magician’s wand she LITERALLY MORPHS into the gram goddess we all know.


Entering the perfectly dimly lit kingdom equipped with 360 degrees of mirrors. She pulls off that old tee shirt to reveal the equally as cute matching crop top to those scrunch booty leggings, takes her hair down and snaps a few signature post booty pump side glute shots we’re all SO used to seeing.


You see both women, but you don’t recognize the first one because she’s not much different than you.


The REALISTIC image of that normal girl working hard on herself in the gym and in life

...is what I want you to shift your frame of reference to when considering your overall goals. Not the girl from the gram post.


Pssst.. If you can’t beat em

..join em.

If you don’t already, In front of the comfort of your own full length mirror at home, snap some of your own Illusions of perfection.

You don’t have to share them with the world, but you damn sure can appreciate your own curves from time to time ;)

2. EXPECT the result.


Once you have the knowledge, it’s so easy to change the body.


ANY HUMAN BODY can achieve EXTREME levels of fat loss.


Want proof? Go checkout your local bodybuilding show to witness for yourself. Watch as bikini competitors pour out from behind the curtain in droves, like ants from an ant bed at the scent of a toddler’s birthday party.

I use competing as a frame of reference for many reasons besides the obvious of being a prep coach & physique competitor myself.


  • The addition of Women’s Bikini & Wellness and Men’s Physique divisions to bodybuilding has sparked the revival of a dwindling sport as these divisions represent a MORE REALISTIC representation of what MOST people ASPIRE to look like when they embark on a fitness journey and therefore attract 80% or more of the entries for the entire show..

  • But more importantly because..


The Bodybuilding industry has MADE it EASY to DO it right.


  • A Competitor’s goal is to strip just the right amount of fat off to fit the ‘LOOK’ of the Division they want to compete in, without losing too much muscle in the process, and maintain or improve a healthy functioning metabolism along the way. ALL THIS while meeting a deadline (show day).


Sounds like the perfect recipe right? ...that’s because it is.


It’s proven over and over with all shapes and sizes, in a sport that is growing by the thousands every year.


It IS the fastest, healthiest way to your dream body.

To drive this point home,


You DON’T have to be a competitor to put this knowledge to use.

Just MIMIC the SAME fat loss process and reap the BENEFIT.

3. The GOAL itself ISN’T fat loss.


The goal is to PRACTICE the PROCESS of fat loss.


And the best part is that you can’t really fail at practicing.


Practice is Progress.


And progress is WINNING.

Fat loss is merely feedback

Fat loss is merely feedback or measurable data, much like your weight and circumference measurements. You use this DATA to make the proper adjustments to your plan (process).


Did you hear me?


The GOAL you’re really CHASING are the FEELINGS

That stack up from all that POSITIVE FEEDBACK.


It’s the FEELINGS (goals) of Accomplishment, Confidence, Strength, Satisfaction, Self Love. The TRIUMPH over fears, failures and setbacks that you allow yourself to FEEL.


For example, when you complete a workout (practice) or eat a planned meal (practice) or even a planned CHEAT meal (practice)… and then stand there PROUD of what you see staring back at you in the mirror, because you stuck to the plan (process).


That is PROGRESS. Over time that progress COMPOUNDS into very OBVIOUS changes.


And it feels GOOD (goals).

4. TRUST the Process.


When your normal looking hometown gal decides she wants to embark on the extreme transformation that lands her on the stage, she knows for certain that:


In (X) number of weeks, she is going to look like a completely different person.


**X being representative of the proper allowance of time in which to accomplish the desired look she needs by a certain show date. Again, simple science (coming later).


She feels confident knowing the industry has hand delivered the scientifically proven Fat Loss Process that works across 99% of the adult female population.


She is aware that this Process is never STATIC. She has to work hard in the gym, remain diligent with her meals and progress checks, keep an OBJECTIVE mind when reviewing her data and make the right adjustments to stay ahead of plateaus..
